Debbie Shaw
President
Debbie Shaw has served on the Logan Elm Board of Education since 1988. She serves on the Policy, Personnel and Communications committees.
Debbie has resided in the Logan Elm district since 1965, when her family transferred to the area from West Virginia. Debbie and her husband, Dennis, have two children and four grandchildren. Their daughter, Jennifer, graduated from LEHS in 2000 and now teaches in the District. Their son, Josh, graduated from LEHS in 2003 and is a civil engineer. Two of their grandchildren attend Logan Elm schools.
Debbie attended Washington Elementary and graduated from Logan Elm High School in 1975. She has a BS in Education from The Ohio State University. After receiving her degree in December 1978, Debbie taught at Logan Elm as a 6th grade teacher, traveling between Salt Creek and Laurelville Elementary schools, for the remainder of the 78-79 school year. From 1979-1982, she taught 5th grade and kindergarten for Circleville City Schools. Later, Debbie stayed home with her children, then became the office manager at her husband’s dental office. She retired in 2016.
In the community, Debbie volunteers in schools and is an Elementary Sunday School teacher. She loves working with children and her goal is to make a difference in a child’s life. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, sewing, and water sports.
