-     Sweetheart Dance supplies valued at $138.44 from John & Janice Gearhart to Key Club

-     13 monitors, 36 computers and miscellaneous computer accessories valued at $3,000 from the Court of Claims of Ohio

 

Ø                  The appropriation amendments as presented.

 

Ø                  The five-year forecast as presented.

 

Ø                  Entering into an agreement with Medical Life Insurance Company for employee basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage at a 3-year rate guarantee of $ .13 / $1,000 / month.

 

Ø               Authorizing the administration to apply for the following state and federal programs if and/or when they become available for the 2004-05 school year:

                  2.   Title V                                      8.   Preschool Handicapped

Ø               Authorizing membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association for the 2004-05 school year for Logan Elm High and McDowell Exchange Schools.

 

Ø               Denying a request to transfer eight (8) residences located on Shawnee Trail Road into the Circleville City Schools per the petition signed by the residents and send the resolution to the State Board of Education for their consideration.

 

Ø               A resolution declaring the necessity to raise additional revenue of 1.8 million dollars per year for current operating expenses and direct the Treasurer to certify a copy of this resolution to the Tax Commissioner for the State of Ohio to determine the income tax rate necessary to produce this amount of money.

 

Ø               Resolving to participate in the projects of the Central Ohio Special Education Regional Resource Center from July 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005 at no cost to the Board and designate Ron Thornton as Governing Board Delegate and Roger Crago, Alternate.

 

Ø               The Logan Elm High School Band attending Band camp overnight at Ohio University August 16-19, 2004 and enter into an agreement with Ohio University for said camp.

 

Ø               Entering into an agreement with School Insurance Consultants, LLC to create and review bid specifications, claims management and consultation for fleet, property and liability insurance for 2005.

 

Ø               An overnight trip for the Varsity Cross Country Team to Tiffin Columbian High School, Tiffin, Ohio, September 10-11, 2004 at no cost to the Board.

 

Ø               Amending policy JECBB as presented to accept interdistrict open enrollment students from any district in Ohio that apply and meet the policy requirements.

 

Ø               Entering into an agreement with the Pickaway County Educational Service Center for media services for the 2004-05 school year at a fee of $.65 per student (2323 x .65 = $1,509.95).

 

Ø               The annual “optional” trip for McDowell (7-8) students, May 26-30, 2005 to Gettysburg and Washington D.C.

 

Ø               Employing:

 

                  1.      Jeannie Notestone – aide for a special needs student on a two (2) year classified contract (No Benefits) effective for the 2004-05 school year.  Hours and days to be determined annually.

                  2.      Holly Huff, Tracey Miller and Jeri Keller – teachers on a one (1) year contract for the 2004-05 school year, salary per the negotiated agreement (pending receipt of license and BCI clearance).

                               

Ø               Accepting the following resignations at the conclusion of the 2003-04 school year:
