Debbie Shaw
President

Debbie Shaw has served on the Logan Elm Board of Education since 1988.  She serves on the Policy, Personnel and Communications committees. 

Debbie has resided in the Logan Elm district since 1965, when her family transferred to the area from West Virginia.  Debbie and her husband, Dennis, have two children and four grandchildren.  Their daughter, Jennifer, graduated from LEHS in 2000 and now teaches in the District. Their son, Josh, graduated from LEHS in 2003 and is a civil engineer.   Two of their grandchildren attend Logan Elm schools. 

Debbie attended Washington Elementary and graduated from Logan Elm High School in 1975.  She has a BS in Education from The Ohio State University.   After receiving her degree in December 1978, Debbie taught at Logan Elm as a 6th grade teacher, traveling between Salt Creek and Laurelville Elementary schools, for the remainder of the 78-79 school year.  From 1979-1982, she taught 5th grade and kindergarten for Circleville City Schools.   Later, Debbie stayed home with her children, then became the office manager at her husband’s dental office.  She retired in 2016.
 
In the community, Debbie volunteers in schools and is an Elementary Sunday School teacher.   She loves working with children and her goal is to make a difference in a child’s life.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, sewing, and water sports.

Matt Kim
Vice President

Matt Kim was elected to the Logan Elm Board of Education in November 2021 and took the oath of office in January 2022. He is a member of the Buildings & Grounds/Transportation and Athletics committees.

Matt has resided in the Logan Elm district for 38 years and is a 1994 graduate of Logan Elm. His wife Beth is a 1996 graduate of Logan Elm and they have one son, Brady, currently in the 8th grade at McDowell Middle School. After graduation, Matt served in the United States Marine Corps from 1997-2002 and received an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Sergeant. He has been employed at Mistras Group, Inc since 2002, currently serving as the Director of Radiation Safety for all operations in the United States and Canada.

In the community, Matt serves as a board member of Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center as the representative for the Pickaway County Educational Service Center. He is an advocate for the Pickaway County Board of Developmental Disabilities, FANS Network, and Pickaway County Special Olympics.

Matt believes our district has the best students, staff, and community members, and considers it an honor to serve on the board.
Mike Agosta
Michael Agosta
Board Member

Michael was elected to the Logan Elm Board of Education in November 2023, and took the oath of office on January 8, 2024. 
 

Michael has lived in the Logan Elm School district with his wife Angela since 1992.  He was a previous member of Logan Elm School Board for 8 years.  Michael is currently serving on the Buildings and Grounds and Finance Committees along with being the Logan Elm JEDD Representative.    

He completed an associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Hocking College, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Franklin University.  He is currently employed by PHPK Technologies, Columbus, Ohio, as V.P. of Engineering and General Manager.

In addition to being a Pickaway County Fellow he serves on the Ohio Retail Food Safety Advisory Council (RFSAC).  He is a past president and coach for Logan Elm Youth Football, served as Treasurer for the Washington Elementary PTO, and has coached youth basketball and baseball.   

Michael and Angela have three children.  Adam, graduating in 2014 from Logan Elm, completed an Electrical Engineering Degree from the Ohio State University while enrolled in the Navy ROTC program. Adam is now a commissioned officer and pilot in the United States Navy.  Matthew and Rachel both graduated from Logan Elm in 2017.   Matthew completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering while running Cross Country for Ohio University.  Matthew is currently employed by a defense contractor in San Diego California.    Rachel completed an Integrated Math Degree at Ohio University and is now teaching high school math for, and living in, the City of Chicago.

Michael is proud to have been a part of passing the bond issue for the new school while serving on the Board.  He believes in and stresses the value of education, not only to his children but to all students he comes into contact with.  He emphasizes that learning is a never-ending lifelong process.  While helping build the framework for student success he also uses his business experience to deliver value to the taxpayer while keeping the school district financially sound.

Nikki Jackson

Nikki Jackson

Nikki Jackson was appointed and sworn in by the Board of Education on February 20, 2024. She is a member of the Policy and Communications committees.


Nikki and her husband, Nate, have been residents of Logan Elm District for the majority of their lives. Nikki attended Pickaway Elementary and is a 1999 graduate of Logan Elm. Nate attended Laurelville Elementary and graduated from Logan Elm in 1996. He received his associates degree from the University of Cincinnati. They have five children: Madi, completed a degree at Hocking College and is now employed at OSU;  Nora and Sophia attend Southeastern High School;  and Juliette and Roman attend Logan Elm. After graduating high school, Nikki attended CCAD in Columbus, Ohio. She transferred to The Academy of Art in San Francisco, CA where she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree. Nikki returned to Ohio and started a small central Ohio based bridal makeup business. In addition to her business, she is a stay at home mother. She finds joy being able to attend her children's activities and support her community. 


Nikki is president of the Logan Elm youth football program. She is dedicated to helping all youth programs grow and strives for making a positive impact for children in the district. She believes that a strong education, inspiring educators, and solid core values are instrumental in shaping our students into successful and productive members of society.

Heidi White
Board Member

Heidi White was elected to the Logan Elm Board of Education in November 2019 and took the oath of office in January 2020.  She is a member of the Policy, Communication and Personnel committees. 
 
Heidi, a resident of the district since 2001, is married to John White (LE Class of 1989) and they have two children, daughter Peri and son, Sawyer.   Heidi is a graduate of Zane Trace High School and has a BS in Human & Consumer Sciences, specializing in Dietetic and Food Service management, from Ohio University.   She has been employed by Kingston National Bank since 1998 in a variety of positions, currently serving as the Branch Manager/AVP of the Circleville Branch. 
 
In the community, Heidi is a member of the Circleville Noon Rotary, a 2018 Pickaway Fellow, and also serves on the Pickaway County YMCA Advisory Board and the PCN Leadership for Tomorrow committee.
