Logan Elm Local Schools is seeking a dynamic leader to serve in a District Office role as Director of Operations. 
Duties and responsibilities associated with the position are:
  1. Supervise the overall maintenance program for the District.
  2. Develop short (1 year) and long-range (5 years) plans for facility maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
  3. Plan, supervise, and purchase materials for the district and monitor the inventory of such products.
  4. Plan and Budget for expenses that could occur regarding the facilities.
  5. Supervise and evaluate our custodial staff and maintenance department.
  6. Assign work priorities to appropriate personnel.
  7. Direct the development, implementation, and management of custodial and maintenance written procedures and work-related standards and expectations.
  8. Develop an ongoing plan for maintenance and custodial care of buildings and grounds as well as in-service efforts to improve staff skills.
  9. Manage summer work on the facilities and grounds.
  10. Develop and manage public bid contracts and notices for facilities and grounds.
  11. Manage the work of outside contractors to ensure compliance with purchase orders and contracts.
  12. Serve as the primary point of contact on all district construction projects.
  13. Inspect buildings and grounds regularly to monitor for safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
  14. Schedule all activities for the campus. i/e gyms, fields, performing arts areas, athletic buildings, etc.
  15.  Ensure all participants who are using our facility are meeting all requirements outlined in board policies.
  16. Willingness to take emergency calls and take appropriate actions outside of the workday.
  17. Oversee the operation of all building systems (HVAC, Security, Etc.)
  18. Perform other job-related duties assigned by the Superintendent
Preferred candidates:
Ohio Principal License with experience leading, a proven communicator, and the ability to handle numerous tasks efficiently 
Salary
 $72,000 - $86,500; 260-day contract

CERTIFIED 
Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher – Logan Elm Middle School - 2024-25 School Year
This highly qualified teacher will be responsible for delivering specific course content in a differentiated collaborative model in middle school classroom. The teacher must be skilled in classroom management and implementation of individual behavioral intervention plans. Co-teach with general education teacher, as needed and make student specific accommodations. Reports to Building Principal and Director of Special Education. 
 
Qualifications:
  • State of Ohio Special Education License in Mild Disabilities/Intervention and Highly Qualified. 
Desired Experience and/or Training
  • History of timely and accurate IEP completion. 
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in providing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of struggling students.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in using formative assessments to guide reading instruction.
  • Experience dealing with families and students from a diverse range of economic and social backgrounds.
  • Teaching experience with developing and implementing lesson plans, classroom activities, and classroom management.
  • Knowledge of research-based instructional strategies, methodology, and materials for students receiving special education services.
  • Experience in analyzing student’s formative and summative data and differentiating classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs.
  • Experience collaborating with colleagues to improve instructional practices throughout the school.
  • Knowledge in the use of technology within instruction.
Duties: 
  • Actively participate in professional development activities, work closely with administration, district level curriculum department, and special education support team.
  • Involve parents and guardians as partners in their students’ education.
  • Develop and implement appropriate individual educational plans (IEPs) that support multiple learning and behavioral needs of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teaching staff to maximize student involvement in the general education classroom/curriculum by supporting more inclusive learning opportunities for students. Request Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), if needed, help develop and implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students as needed.
  • Monitor student progress and complete Quarterly Progress Reports.
  • Support special education paraprofessionals and support their professional development in appropriate curriculum and behavior management areas.
  • Administer Ohio Assessments, including alternative assessments.

High School Health Position –  Logan Elm High School - 2024-25 School Year
The Health position is primarily responsible for providing our health curriculum to our freshmen and sophomores, along with health-related elective courses.  
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid license to teach 7-12 Health from the Ohio Department of Education  
Desired Experience and/or Training
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working with middle/high school students.Ability to collaborate with colleagues to meet the needs of all students.Ability to implement lessons and activities that engage students.
  • Knowledge in the use of technology within instruction.
Duties:
  • Actively participate in professional development activities, work closely with administration, and district level curriculum department.
  • Involve parents and guardians as partners in their students’ education.
  • Closely follow updates to state wide health curriculum updates through the Department of Education and Workforce along with legislative updates.
